Spotted: Blake Lively ditching her blonde locks for a new, reddish hue! The Gossip Girl star stunned at the TIME 100 Gala in New York City Tuesday night, but her gorgeous green Zuhair Murad dress wasn’t the only thing onlookers were talking about. The actress — the new face of Chanel handbags — arrived on the red carpet sporting strawberry-tinged locks. “It’s for the film Hick,” Lively told PEOPLE. “I thought [my character] needed red hair. It helps when you’re playing a role, when I don’t feel like myself. And I don’t really feel like myself with red hair.” Colorist Rona O’Connor transformed Lively’s locks about a month ago, however, the actress managed to fly under the radar following her last public appearance at CinemaCon in early April. So how does she like her new look? “I love it,” she gushed. “I feel like Ariel.”

The ones who watched the “Elle Style Awards” Interview with Blake might already noticed that she said in it that she’s going to play the Mother of Chloe Moretz, but according to lots of sources on web she’ll play the grifter….So lets see who our girl is going to be !
Eddie Redmayne is set to star with Blake Lively and Chloe Moretz in the indie “Hick.”
Derick Martini will helm the pic, which focuses on a 13-year-old (Moretz) from Nebraska who gets more than she bargained for when she leaves for Las Vegas.
Lively will play a grifter who meets Moretz’s character on the road and takes the girl under her wing. Redmayne would play another loner who tries luring Moretz away and also shares a past with Lively.
Andrea Portes is adapting from the novel she wrote.
Steven Siebert and Christian Taylor will produce through Siebert’s Lighthouse Entertainment shingle and Taylor’s Taylor Lane Prods. Charles de Portes is exec producing.
Lively was recently seen in “The Town” and can be seen next in “Green Lantern.”

The Sex and the City prequel will not star Blake Lively, the 23-year-old actress stated at the Elle Style Awards. ‘I’m a huge fan of the show and of Sarah Jessica Parker,’ she told our colleagues at ITN, but she will star in another movie. She stayed mum on the next season of Gossip Girl, saying that portions of her own scripts are censored. Her next role is in Hick, where she plays a meth addict and the mother to a teenager played by 14-year-old Chloë Moretz (Kick-Ass).
