Blake showed off some of her cooking skills in the first episode of Vogue’s new cooking series Elettra’s Goodness, hosted by Elettra Wiedemann. In the episode, Blake shared one of her favourite recipes and some cooking tips. Watch the video to see the delicious dish Blake served up.
Here’s a quick interview Blake did with the Evening Standard Magazine about her “London experience” – hopefully we will get to see more of Blake in the London and Europe in the future.
Home is…
New York. I live in Manhattan.
Where do you stay in London?
I’ve never found the one place to stay but I saw a hotel on the Goop website called Blakes that I really want to try.
Last show you saw?
Rent in the West End, which at the time had Caprice in it. It was very funny watching a musical about New York and the Lower East Side with the cast all speaking in British accents.
First thing you do when you arrive?
Go to the Hat-Gallery M/V on Earl’s Court Road. It has such beautiful, interesting pieces, some of which I would buy but never actually wear. When I’m back in New York I get the staff to send me photos because I love the hats so much.
Which animal would you most like to be?A bird, because it would be amazing to fly.

Vogue Beauty caught up with Blake to discuss everything from her beauty regime to Gossip Girl and about her new fragrance Gucci Première.
BLAKE LIVELY’s red carpet beauty inspirations range from A Midsummer Night’s Dream to J-Lo, but the actress’ favourite product when she’s not working is body lotion – albeit the Crème de la Mer variety. At the Venice Film Festival to promote Gucci Premiere – the new fragrance of which she is the face – Lively spoke to us about her go-to hair and make-up looks, exercise, and shooting the final season of Gossip Girl.
What’s your go-to beauty or hair look for events?
“It depends. I was at a premiere in Los Angeles recently in a Zuhair Murad gown, and I could have gone two ways - a smoky eye and lighter lip with a very slicked-back, straight, long ponytail, or a Rita Hayworth look with the red, longer nails and little cat eyes. So I went for [the latter] because that to me was a fun, special moment. But the next day at the premiere in New York I had this beautiful Gucci mellow yellow gown, and with that I thought you could go Grecian or A Midsummer Night’s Dream. So, to make it different from the night before, I thought: ‘I want a high pony or I want a braid’. And I had a necklace that I was considering wearing, so I thought: ‘let’s wrap it around the braid because it will make it more interesting’.”So you decide upon the looks yourself?
“I’m always designing what the hair and make-up will look like and I style myself, including the shoes, jewellery, accessories – all of it. But then I’m lucky to be in the hands of some of the most talented people who will say: ‘so that’s your idea, now let me actualise it in a way that’s more beautiful’. Maybe it’s that old classic Hollywood look, maybe it’s messy Kate Moss hair or a slicked-back J-Lo ponytail. So there’s no go-to, it’s ‘who do you want to be tonight?’”

Blu-ray™ Combo Pack including UltraViolet™, DVD, Digital Copy & an Unrate Version Never Shown in Theaters
“High-grade entertainment.” – Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal
Acclaimed director Oliver Stone (Born on the Fourth of July, Platoon, Wall Street) plunges deep into the brutally violent world of Mexican drug cartels in the crime thriller Savages, coming to Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, DVD, and On Demand on October 23, 2012, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Also available through Digital Download. Based on Don Winslow’s audacious 2010 novel, Savages is an intense and graphic drama set against the harsh, swift justice of the illicit drug trade as a pair of peace-loving Southern Californians find themselves locked in an all-out war against a merciless drug lord.

With Savages steadily performing well for a violent rated R (heading for a $50m+ run) at the American box office, Universal is gearing up to start the film’s international promo & release. First up – the Zurich Film Festival. Hopefully Blake and the cast are able to attend the premiere! Source
Oliver Stone’s stoner action thriller Savages, starring Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Blake Lively, will open the 8th annual Zurich International Film Festival on September 20.
Stone is no stranger to the young Swiss festival, having attended several times before, including in 2007, when the Oscar-winning filmmaker received Zurich’s lifetime achievement honor, the Golden Eye. This year’s Zurich Golden Eye winner is veteran producer Jerry Weintraub, whose credits include the Ocean’s Eleven and Karate Kid franchises.
Savages, which also features John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro and Salma Hayek, has earned $46 million domestically for Universal Pictures since its July 6th release. But international distributors have held back the global rollout of the film, in part to avoid going head-to-head with this summer’s big televised sporting events – the Euro 2012 Soccer Championships and the 2012 London Olympics.
Savages begins its European rollout September 13 in Russia and continues across Europe through September and October.
The 8th annual Zurich Film Festival runs Sept.20-30.
